Nicknames for your friends

I'm trying to directly translate a sentence that uses the word "brother" to mean "friend." So I'm trying to think of something slangy that'll work. What are good slang terms you can use for your friends? It's hard to come up with anything that's not name-specific, like Taro-chan or whatever.

What's the whole sentence? If they're close male friends of the same age (young), they might call each other お前. Other than that a lot of it is just going to be the style of how they talk to each other rather than any specific word for friend. It's strange to use friend or brother in the vocative for someone you know, although very common to call strangers, brother, uncle, grandma etc.

It's something like "You can't eat hamburgers in Japan, brother." So I have 日本でハンバーガーが食べられない。 I'm trying to keep it short. I don't know the context, so I can't tell if it's a command, or a suggestion, or whatever.
