how to get iphone 4 for an one-year-exchange-student
Hi all,
i'm eldy from Indonesia, i'm going to study in Toudai on one-year-exchange-program.
Since i know my old phonecell cant operate in Japan, i plan to buy an iphone 4 32GB there.
i plan to buy a prepaid one, so that as i know, it can also operate in my home country.
is there any chance for me to get iphone4 there? if yes, how?
i really need kindly help and suggestion here.
Thanks

The only place to get an iPhone, really, is from Softbank. They do not offer prepaid options easily, and definitely not for iPhone.
If you find a nice store, they may set you up on a one-year contract, but it will probably set you back about 5-7,000 yen a month, and probably the price of the phone.
You can get two year contracts which include the phones for free, but whether they will give you one or not may depend on your visa (i.e. whether you can even be in Japan for two years)
