Hey!

Post by JasonM9803 » Tue 08.30.2011 9:24 pm

Hello!
My name is Jason and I live in the U.S. I want to learn Japanese but don't really know where to start. I've looked at JapanesePod101, Anki, Rosetta Stone and some other sites. I have plenty of time during the day and pretty much every day to study and I don't need everything to be free, I can spend some money. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the site. The key in the beginning stages I think is to find a textbook that you like and that works for you and stick with it. Genki and Minna no Nihongo are two of the most popular textbooks these days, so why not check them out? :D
