The reason why I fell in love with Japan besides its culture and ninjas when I was little, was sushi. I've always been a fan of seafood and I prefer it raw over deep-fried. I also love miso soup and tempura.

One of the greatest things about being in Japan is the food.
Most of these have been said, but for food I love おこのみ焼、しゃぶしゃぶ、てんぷら、かつ、らーめん、寿司、even すき屋 is really good. It's genuinely difficult to find a Japanese food that isn't delicious.
For drinks, 梅酒、日本酒、カルピス、まちゃ、and Real Gold are my favorites.

Red bean paste, takoyaki, mochi, green tea (and anything flavoured with it ^.^) I was obsessed with green tea flavoured foods when I visited Japan.
