This is how I would translate, but in the context it seems alike "I am happy for this".

I can't see anything about a battle there :think: before I say anymore, are you sure it's not 僕なんかで for the first part?

Ok, no worries :) 僕なんか would fit because it means that the character calling himself 僕 is humbling himself.The verb 役に立つ means to be of use, or fulfill a role, right? So I guess your sentence is something along the lines of 'If I am able to be of any help,' although I suppose with the original Japanese it's easier to guess the context.
