Well as far as I know there is no word in Japanese that starts with "ん". Might be why the thread died. 
I'll do a bit of cheating and just do something from the "ん" line of hiragana.

Actually I think you're thinking of the Shiritori thread.
This thread is just a basic word association game... so like if someone says "airship", you could say "The Hindenburg" or "Last Exile" (but in Japanese of course) etc. Just whatever it makes you think of.

wait a sec doesn't that defeat the purpose if you don't have to read the words in Japanese? Kinda hard to guess if you knew the word if the English translation is right next to it..
