beached?

This is a dialog from the English version of ONE PIECE manga Vol.1:

Crew: C'mon, Capt'n... Let's take the lad with us just this once...
Captain Shanks: Okay, but ONE OF YOU will have to stay behind...
Crew: Sorry, Laddy, you've just been beached! Let's drink.
Luffy: Hey!! I thought you guys were on my side!

According to the dictionary, "to beach" means 浜に引き上げる.

なので、直訳すると「わるいな、ぼうず、おまえは ちょうど今 浜に引き上げられた」となりますが、日本語としては どうも しっくりしません。
ここのbeachedは、本当に「浜に引き上げる」という意味で使われているのでしょうか。
また、どういうニュアンスで 使われているのか、もし わかれば　教えてください。

「引き上げる」はよく知りませんけど、辞書に調べました。いい翻訳じゃないとおもいます。　英語で「beached whale」や「beached ship」は普通の言葉使い。浜に乗り上げたから、海に帰れないっていう意味があります。あの文のもっと丁寧な言い方なら「Sorry kid, but we have to leave you behind」

In English "beached whale" and "beached ship" are common expressions. The implied meaning is that the person or animal is stuck on the beach and can't return to the ocean (but they want to). Basically, the guy is making fun of the kid by calling him a stranded animal. Up there is an example of a more polite way to say it. I hope that made sense...

「Beached」がこんな文型で使われるのは私がはじめて目にします。「悪いね、あなた（ルフィー）は一緒に行かないことになったな」のような意味だと推測します。

お二人の説明によると、beachedを使った ここの表現は 一般に使われているものではなく、海に ひっかけた シャレた言い回し のようですね。
ただ、beachedに相当する 短くて簡単なことばが 日本語に ないので、そのまま訳すのは難しそうです。
原意を汲んで意訳すると、「お前の夢は、たった今 撃沈（げきちん）された」とか「海の藻屑（もくず）と消えた」とか「海の底に沈んだ」とかに なるのでしょう。
もっとも、別に訳さなくても マンガは読めるので、たいして重要なことではないですが、子供に説明するのに詰まったもので...(笑)
