Use a Mind Map to learn Japanese

Hi,

I have completed my first term of night school, weekly Japanese classes and loved it.
As part of my revision of everything I have learnt that I consider key for my learning I created a mind map.

I have used mind maps before when working with school aged kids to help them with their classwork, in my job before I became a Mum. I think they are an excellent tool and continue to use them myself to support my learning as an adult.

That's very impressive

I've been thinking recently about how writing down vocab in a notebook, whilst being a good means of reference, fails to help me remember words or kanji that I don't often use. Your post has inspired me to try making a few of my own mind maps

Well doyobi had to reach into space, in Japanese it is 'ground' but in the english days of the week it is from the roman god saturn - Saturday, otherwise it would be a lost and unconnected symbol!

Awesome! When I was still teaching, I used pictographs when I teach the kanji for the days of the week. I noticed we used the same drawings But I have mine on separate boards instead of in one big sheet. Maybe I should put mine the way you did yours so my students can see all the days at once instead of me flipping over to the next sheet.
