Does somebody know why jisho.org says:
畳
Japanese kun: かさ.なる、 たたみ、 たた.む
Japanese on: ジョウ、 チョウ
(so totally 5 readings)
When I check, かさ.なる and also チョウ seem not to be associated with 畳 .
Then why these have to be listed as some of the readings for this kanji?
At the same time, saiga dictionary lists only 3 readings:
ジョウ
たたみ
たた・む

1. So which is giving correct information?
I need a reliable website to look on and kun readings from.
2. Do you guys have any idea? Any website that shows on and kun readings without either omitting or bloating up?
If I make a little dictionary with pronunciations used from jisho.org, i wonder if it will make me attach unnecessary long list of on and kun readings to kanjis, which will take time both to write and then to learn.
Thank you all.

Re: I need reliable pronunciation website. where's it?
The readings you refer to (かさなる ちょう etc.) are 意読 and are irregular or forced readings that can sometimes be used, but they are not the regular readings of the character. It's probably not necessary to include them in your studies at this point.
As to a dictionary I personally use the 漢字源 dictionary that's included in my ex-word. Perhaps some others can recommend an online dictionary that will suit your preferences.

Is there an online dictionary that shows these rare forced readings?becki_kanou wrote:The readings you refer to (かさなる ちょう etc.) are 意読 and are irregular or forced readings that can sometimes be used, but they are not the regular readings of the character.
