I am glad to meet you, I'm h.kobayashi, a Japanese. I have become a member of this forum to learn English.

英語は、英語検定2級程度で6年ぐらい米国系証券会社の東京支店で
コンピュータ技術職として働いていたことがあり、それなりにはわかります。

I can understand English in my own way, because I had been working in a financial firm of an US company's Tokyo branch office as a computer technical job for about six years with having second grade certification of practical English in Japan.

現在は、雪国の新潟というところに住んでいます。

Currently, I am living in a region with heavy snowfalls which is called Niigata.

現在は中国と関係のある会社で働いているため、中国語もちょっとだけわかります。

I am now working in a company having a relationship with China, so I can also understand Chinese a little bit.

この部分を少し書き直してあげます。

I can understand English (to an extent<-shows humility about your level of understanding), because I hold a second level certification in practical English, and worked for six years (in a computer technical capacity<-unneeded, since it doesn't relate to why you know English) in the Tokyo branch office of a US financial firm.

現在は、雪国の新潟というところに住んでいます。

Currently, I am living in a region with heavy snowfalls which is called Niigata.

snowfalls->snowfall. "which is" can be omitted, including it makes it more formal.

現在は中国と関係のある会社で働いているため、中国語もちょっとだけわかります。

I am now working in a company having a relationship with China, so I can also understand Chinese a little bit.

Actually my weakest point is usage of perfect tense, as I do not care about it in Japanese.
