Need some help with these sentences

The following sentences are from Tobira Chapter 1. I get the basic meaning of each sentence, I'm just thrown off by the use of the ba conditonal in each of these sentences.

1. Kono shashin wo mireba wakaru you ni, rondon ni ha iroiro na meisho ga aru
( Looking at these pictures, you can see that London has lots of famous places?)

2. Kono hon ni kaite aru you ni tsukureba, oishii doresshingu ga dekiru yo
(As written/If you follow what's written in this book, you will be able to make a delicious dressing?)

No further context avalible, these are just example sentences
