Help with kanji character
I recently bought a T-shirt with a Japanese word on it, but can't find it online. I am attaching a photo. I tried drawing it on a Japanese dictionary site and a Chinese site (http://www.chinese-tools.com) but struck out. Maybe I've got the stroke order all wrong. Anyway, I hope someone can tell me what it means.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Help with kanji character
This means "Number One" or "First","Most".
First character means "One",Second character means "Number".
It called "ICHIBAN".
Please ask me anything if you may not understand about Japan!

Arigato! 谢谢!I am an American teaching English in Chuna. My students also take.Japanese, but I wanted to know what it meant before I gave the shirt away. Got it at a yard sale still in its bag and it's too small for me.
I would like to learn more about Japan. Thanks for your offer.

Yeah, the spacing makes it look like one kanji. I was confused too, even though I know darn well what 一番 means.

Oh great. I know that one. It's the same as the logo for a Japanese restaurant called Ichi-ban.
