Translating a Trailer Tagline
Hi Japanese-page people; I'm resurrecting my Japanese studies after a long unexpected hiatus, and was wondering if you would be so kind as to help me out with this translation I'm attempting. Now, in all honesty I was never that great to begin with, so my clumsiness will be even more obvious I'm sure
僕たちの間には、いつもジャズが流れている。
In our time, jazz is always flowing.
*I'm probably being to literal in my translation I imagine.

Ah ok, interesting. Is this somewhat idiomatic, or have I got the completely wrong reading of said character. ( あいだ )

No, it's not idiomatic at all but you got the reading correct. It just has a lot of different meanings so it can get confusing. Here's the dictionary entry for 間(あいだ) on JDIC, pay attention to (5).
間 【あいだ(P); あわい(ok)】 (n-adv,n) (1) space (between); gap; interval; distance; (n-adv,n-t) (2) time (between); pause; break; (n-adv,n,n-t) (3) span (temporal or spatial); stretch; period (while); (n-adv,n) (4) relationship (between, among); (5) members (within, among);

Thanks for the help - this clears things up immensely !
therefore:
"Amongst us, Jazz is always flowing." ?
