Hello everyone^^

"学ぶ""習う""勉強する""学習する"...
I think they all mean "learn" or "study".

What's the difference among the words above?
So anyone can explain it?

Thank U very much! :colonthree:

習う and 勉強する are actually similar. Although 習う is commonly translated as "learn", it actually implies learning from someone in a classroom-type environment. There is an implication that you have a teacher who teaches you. 勉強する is similar in meaning, but can also mean self-study.

I think 学習する refers to tutorials or something like that...maybe someone else can help?

Though I'm a native Japanese speaker, I can't tell you the difference among them (-0-)y~~~
I think what you wrote is almost correct. But there is a word "自習"(= self-study).

勉強 implies concentration and effort. 試験のために勉強する

学習 is used about a specific area of study. It doesn't have a strong nuance in my opinion. 英語を学習する

I think, almost all Japanese doesn't use these words in this way.

勉強 is informal
学習 is a little formal

That's enough and closer to Japanese native usage.

I agree with Ongakuka.
It's not just the difference of formal or informal.
You can say 東大に入るために勉強する but you usually won't say 東大に入るために学習する.
If you want to say it more formally, you would say 東大に入るため勉学にいそしむ or something like that.
