Ne vs Ka
Ok one more. I haven't gotten this far in the Genki book but I have seen it used and want to know how to use/read it.
Example: Person A and person B speaking:
A) Denwa bangou wa desu ka. (What is your telephone number?)
B) 123-4567 desu.
A) 123-4567 desu ne.
B) Sou desu. (That's right.)
This is from my textbook but it doesn't explain the "ne". Can someone tell me why "ne" is used there? Is it a question marker to check understanding? Any help would be appreciated.

You need a NAN in there.
電話番号はなんですか? denwa bangou wa nan desu ka?
And ね is a very versatile ender. In this case it is used to confirm if he heard right. So it can mean something like, "isn't it?"
There are many other meanings/ways to use ね, but you will pick it up as you go.

RE: Ne vs Ka
I know I missed the Nan (it was an I - D - 10 - T error)
I just hit lesson 2 of the Genki book and I just learned about Ne and Yo enders.
Ne is, (As I was guessing,) to confirm in a way
And Yo is for emphasis, or to make sure the listener has understanding.
"Dono niku wa oishii desu yo!" This meat IS delicious.
Do I have this right?
