i love Maison Ikkoku!^_^glee. it's my top fav!
! i also love Neon Genesis Evangelion. my best friend owns all of the manga xcept the last book of it. heh. and i own all the episodes! lol! i also love Naruto (in fact, i bought Naruto's Jacket yesterday at HotTopic)! SugarSugar Rune is pretty good. Tokyo Mew Mew is also really great, but i got all 9 books of it already. InuYasha was really good before, but i don't have as much interest as i did before. FMA is great, but i don't know all about it because i don't have access to it right now.
btw: if anybody wants to see what the Naruto Jacket looks like that i bought, here's a link.

Suzuka without a doubt. For those who aren't familiar, it's primarily a romance story, but it's not like the kind you might have come to expect. It's generally more serious than your average romance manga/anime. Probably best to read if you're in your late teens or early 20's
Basically, think of a "grown-up" version of Love-Hina without the slapstick comedy.
Serious in places, funny in others. It's a great read (if you aren't offended by the odd bit of ecchi
) Also there's an Anime version of it now, which is practically as good.
The manga is only available in Japanese though, which may be a problem for some (although it features Furigana next to all Kanji). Other than that, I'd recommend giving it a look.
I'm thinking that Yasunobu would probably be the "worst best friend" to have..
