Still a little confused O_O
Adding the tachi here both pluralizes and personifies the stars. It would be similar to saying "the stars smile down on you" in English.
Since 'tachi' is plural than can I turn 'person' into 'people' by saying 'hito-tachi'?? Or is 'tachi' only used for inanimate objects? Please reply, thanks
Oh and I'll remember to post in the translation board next time. I was focused on which board I was in when I was posting, sorry 'bout that

Tachi can be used with animate objects.
eg watashitachi / we
anatatachi / you
kodomotachi / children
otokotachi / men
I seem to be able to use Hitotachi with my Japanese teacher and he has never corrected me for it ever.
