Naruto... Licensed...
I can't believe that this has happened, my favorite anime, coming to america. no, crappy translations...NO! Why did they have to licensed it? It wouldn't be that bad if they leave the jutsu and names alone. For ex. Kage Mane No Jutsu is Art of me and my shadow:o. Oh well, I still have the original version. Heh.. I thought it was already licensed there... I guess not...
Well, it hasn't been licensed in America totally. Remember, America could mean N. or S. America.
Hm... I think I'll go pick up Naruto at the anime store. It's so popular... heh...

Do you mean the dubbing? I guess that the DVD's would be with both japanese and english dubbing.

Now i heard it might be dubbed by 4kids entertainment, and its going to be showed on toonami late this year. So they going to change the translations, have edited versions, and probably have crappy voice actors, I wish adv films or bandai ent licensed it. this is indeed a dark day in anime history. err... at least i do.

I do not think anyone force you to watch it. And you could be lucky and get some okay voice actors, but it happens rarely. I prefer japanese voice actors too, but i don't have many chances to get anime, which means that i take what i can get.

You know...you don't have to watch it on CN. You can still download it because ANBU and Dattebayo are still subbing it. Plus the anime sucks compared to the manga so I'm not worried in the slightest.

Weeee, more thread resurrection.
My real concern with Naruto being licensed is that they're going to turn it into another DBZ. And of course, the dub will suck. That's a given. But I suspect they're going to butcher the relationships between alot of the characters in order to make it more.... "American". You know, where the good guy always wins, a guy will profess his love for a girl and have it returned immediately, friends stay friends through thick and thin.... you know the kind of claptrap they want (need I remind anyone of the Rurouni Kenshin dub?)
Sigh.
I wonder how long it will take them to catch up.

By the way, one of the reasons i don't really like this anime is, that they make way to many episodes!. How many episodes of this anime are there going to be?!

I think that about 50 episodes are the limit.
