Self Studying tests?

Postby ebo123 » Sat 01.28.2006 8:52 pm

Konichiwa,

I have been studying Nihongo for a little over 4 months now and I was wondering if anyone know where I could get some self-tests. Unfortunatly, my book Japanese for Everyone does not have any self-tests. I only completed through section 3(yeah I know I am slow, you try being a Freshman in high school studying for 7 PC classes, playing soccer, math team, running cross-country, watching my brothers play varsity basketball, AND studying Japanese) Sometimes I get a little off track. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Nn, sorry. I don't know of any self-studying tests. Perhaps you could look for a study partner or group online to quiz each other? I'd offer, but I'm self studying with the Genki course... I could try to help you, though. I'm on Lesson 4 of Genki.

Thanks for your concern, I have not thought of joining a study group.

You could try the JLPT level 4. It tests basic, general language knowledge. It may give a good approximation of where you stand compared to the more standard study route.
