Japanese, general discussion on the language

hiragana, katakana, and kanji

Postby jarad » Thu 03.24.2005 11:45 am

I have seen this information posted somewhere in these forums before, and after searching for 25 minutes, (going through each thread looking for the information) I have decided that I am a broken man, and need some help :D.

I am looking for the search string I need to search for to find the language packs for hiragana, katakana and kanji, to be able to type them.

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you on Windows? Go to http://www.microsoft.com, and search 'globalime'. Choose the japanese and download it.

You may need a space between global and ime, though.

yup, I thought so.

When people use the different characters on this forum, do they type it up in Word first? And then copy paste here? I'm having a hard time finding what I need that ISN'T strictly for use with Office.

I just got back to the office after eating a big lunch and I don't think i'm seeing straight.

No, i don't think you need a space between "Globalime". Anyways, i don't need to write in Word and then paste it here.

As a side note, who wants an L&H translator? :)
