Have a textbook or grammar book that you find particularly helpful? What about a learning tip to share with others?

はじめまして、

I'm not sure if these websites have been posted yet. I found them not too long ago.
Software
jBrowse: http://www.jbrowse.com/products/jbrowse/ -> useful IE (unfortunately :() plugins for displaying furigana on websites. not powerful, but useful.
Wakan: http://wakan.manga.cz/?page=about&lang=en -> great Japanese/Chinese learning software.
Mika-chan fonts: http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/mikachan/ -> not really a software but it provides cute japanese fonts.

I coupled them with the following websites:
http://aozora.gr.jp/ -> large Japanese text repository.
http://www.japanpen.or.jp/e-bungeikan/novel/novel-subhome.html -> a collection of online short novels I assume.

I use these to practice my vocabs/kanji and reading ability. Hope this helps :)

I was looking around for a website that would give the stroke order of all the kanji. I know that Jim Breen's will give you stroke order for many of the kanji on his site. But it won't give you all of them.

This site has the standardized stroke order, in an animated image format:
http://kakijun.main.jp/

Just click the 漢字の検索 button, enter your kanji in the box and click 決定 and you're on your way to discovering the stroke order of even those bizarre characters like:

鬱, 卍, and 鹵 :p

still I think the Jim Breen's Japanese Dictionary is the best online Japanese Dictionary. The others are quite good.

http://www.rikai.com/perl/Home.pl enter a site to get hiragana and definitions for Japanese words. They also have English to Japanese, English to Spanish and Chinese to English.

http://www.interq.or.jp/osaka/inside/osakaben/osakaben.html - The Nationa Association for the Promotion of the Osaka Dialect. Translate Japanese into Osaka-ben and other fun things.
