hi-

when i try to upload an avatar, it never appears. when i copy the URL of the pic in the box, i get one of those little white boxes w/ the red X. plz help!B)

The URL?.. I don't remember if that works. I think you have to upload it from your own computer.

I'm having the same problem. It's the correct size and everything (checked many times), but it won't work. *goes to try again*

EDIT: Scratch that! It still wouldn't work with the other ones I wanted (maybe because they were animated?) but I got this one to work.

Animated avatars should work fine.

Avatars may not be bigger than 20 kb, and 200x200 pixels. It has to be .gif, .jpg or .png files.

But you have to upload them from your comp, as I said above. You can't put in a link from the internet.

the picture is 161 by 126 pix, a jpeg file, and i saved it on my computer from the internet and then uploaded. ive tried it numerous times on both computers in my house.

where from the internet? can you provide the original link?

EDIT: nevermind, the size limit is 100x100 not 200x200 (at least on my install of php-fusion) which seems about right, Daisuke's avatar is 100x100 and that's about as big as they should get, definately not 200x200. try trimming your file down to 100x100.

I am pretty sure I have seen bigger avatars than 100x100.
