Hello

I'm new too. I have the same problem. There are no Japanese schools near by. So I'm learning as much as I can on my own. At first I didn't know how to start. I purchased the hiragana learning pack from the shop and it really helped. Now I know a few words and can read many things in hiragana, even though I don't know what most of them say. I was really surprised how fast I learned things from that pack. ;)

what was the pack called? I'm self teaching myself aswell and something like that would come on handy. I do alot of listening and pick in up that way. I download Anime in japanese to try to pick up phrases. I'm getting a good grip on speaking the language in small amounts but reading or writing it in anyway had got me lost. lol

It's in the store link. It's Clay's shop. Here's the link.

I didn't think it was expensive and you can download it and print it. I thought it was fun the tips it gives you on how to remeber. Also when you learn each set of hiragana it comes with some vocabulary that uses only hiragana that you have learned. ;)

Thanks for the link. There's enough stuff in there for a long time of study.
