<whistle> some people here must be really young if their first anime was pokemon.

I got my start on Toonami too! And if I remember correctly my first anime was Robotech. I can't remember the story real well but I remember endless waves of explosions, ships, and most of all those cool missiles with white smoke that traced their path. (And that music whenever they had a battle...you know the one)

anime series I've watched and enjoy

1) Robotech
2) Gundam Wing - one of my favorites, the speeches were awesome and inspiring
3) Dragon Ball
4) Dragon Ball Z - 5th grade obsession but still cool
5) Sailor Moon - always caught the last 15 min. coming back from school
6) Ronin Warriors - Green was my fav....I think
7) Tenchi Muyo..etc..
8) Yu Yu Hakusho - Genius on fighting and twists
9) Rurouni Kenshin
9) Inuyasha - will it ever end? kawaii ne;)
10) Trigun
11) Cowboy Bebop - like the fonz....very coolB)B)B)
12) Blue Gender - cool
13) Samurai X - Tomo <sniff>:(
14) Ghost in the Shell - cool and smart B)
15) Samurai Champloo - if you want action
16) Berserk - AWESOME MUST SEE! :o:o:o
17) Evangelion - the ending was certainly unique and the intro theme drives me crazy

Kids these days!
The first Japanese cartoons I ever saw were Battle of the Planets and Battleship Yamato. Now THAT's old school! :)

Sailor Moon...I used to wake up extremely early on like Saturday mornings to watch it. At the time, I didn't even know what anime was :|. After that, I think it was Dragon Ball and Ranma 1/2.

Oh Toonami. Where I started. Sailor Moon was the first one I watched. Then it was Dragon Ball Z. I never did fall into Gundam Wing. I watched it, but I never really liked it.

Kimba the White Lion. I'd like to think that that was my first, though I may have seen Speedracer earlier or at the same time.

I saw my first anime two months ago. It was Naruto. Didn't like it much. I'll stick to Tom & Jerry.
