「Name (名前)」 「Title」
Some titles to use are
さん ~ San= The most common pretty respectful title used a lot.
様 ~ さま ~ Sama= I don't think its used much, but it was reserved for royalty
ちゃん ~ Chan= Used among girls who know each other well and are friends
くん ~ Kun= Used among boys who know each other well and are friends.
I hoped that helped, by the way its どうもありがとうございます ~ Doumo Arigatou Gozaimasu. Don't worry though I used to say dumb things like ありがと without the う or 今日は instead of こんにちは.
1) Have decent proficiency in Japanese, enough to get around/talk/read/write.
2) Visit Japan for a week or so one summer.
