Practice. Tell me if i'm right or not

OK. i am learning japanese (how to speak not how to write btw) adn i wan't to see if this is right:

Watashi wa noroi desu.

I am trying to say "i am stupid" (but i'm really not B)

Also, i am looking for a japanese e-mail penpal... or just someone who could help me learn japanese over e-mail (once again, not writing. just romanji/speaking)

I've never heard of "noroi" before but after looking it up, your sentence sounds right to me.

I was in your boots for weeks untill I buckled down and started using hiragana. I completely recommend it man, it'll make learning 10 times easier ironically.

hmph... a few weeks, i've been learning to speak it for months. I was originally looking into kanji but i realized it was mostly like learning chinese. But, as for the hiragana idea... i'd rather stick to romanji. PS: STILL NEED JAPANESE E-MAIL PENPAL!!! PLEASE PM ME FOR OFFERS. (again: SPEAKING not kana)B)

i used baka at first but then i looked in a Eng-Jap dictionary and it came up with about 10 different words so i just used a random one.

After looking WWWJDIC up, this is what I got...
愚か・おろか・oroka - foolish; stupid
愚・ぐ・gu - foolish; silly; stupid
鈍い・にぶい/のろい・nibui/noroi - dull (e.g., a knife); thickheaded; slow (opposite of fast); stupid
