お久し振りです。お元気でしたか?連絡ずっとしてなくて、ごめんね。私は3月から部署移動あって、内科から外科に移動しました。毎日忙しいけど、楽しく過ごしています。ベイの方は仕事どうですか?体壊さない様、気をつけてね。また連絡します。

PS: This is not my first requested translation I very much appreciate the previous ones which was very helpful to me.

Thanx in advance

...

I always feel uncomfortable reading people's private emails that are posted on this site. Especially when they deal with their personal lives.

At least it's not like one e-mail I once saw posted in another forum. This guy's girlfriend had sent an e-mail he couldn't quite understand, and asked for help. Apparently she missed him. A lot. And he couldn't figure out why she was talking about a shakuhachi as she hated traditional music... :o

Now that's hilarious!

I remember coming across that word in a dictionary. I thought maybe it might be an archaic term for that, but really didn't feel like asking anyone. Well, now I guess its not. Great the things you can pick up in this forum!

DAMN YOU TONY!!!! :D

Anyhow, I figure I might as well translate it since it's up here and all.

It's been a long time. Howe are you doing? I'm sorry I haven't contacted you in such a long time. From March, I my post got changed, so I moved from internal medicine to surgery. Every day is busy, but it's pretty enjoyable. How is Bey's job? Take care of your body, and I'll get in touch with you later.

I understand people's feeling like Harisenbon regarding private email being read in the forum. It's just I couldn't find yet a service of translation over here.

And I know pretty much the mailibng is about normal daily issues like last time I managed to censure the hotels names from the email to ensure a minimum of privcy.

Many thanks for your reaction. Peace;)

But the eternal question is: If you can't understand simple e-mails in Japanese (or even know enough to use a dictionary to understand it), WHY are you receiving e-mails in Japanese? Why can't you have the other person write in English or Japanese at a level you can understand? In any case, it's kind of deceitful making them think you can understand their e-mails on your own. And on top of that, probably 9 times out 10 people would not at all be happy about their private writings ending up on public display for all to see, even if the important parts are censored.

Is somebody taking orders for a "DAMN YOU, TONY!" t-shirt? Sign me up for two, three... make that half a dozen. That one's going to have me going for the rest of the week.
