here is some software that really helped me! i think i have hiragana and katakana nailed now
this is great for nubs and pros...

Was this software really worth pimping three times in as many forums?
And since it tests only kana, it has just about zero relevance to the JLPT.

I'm no relation to the Dutch chemist, Conrad van Houten, who invented the cocoa press a couple of centuries after my paternal ancestors came to America. (My wife just brought a can of Van Houten brand chocolate covered pecans back from the Philippines; the label said that Van Houten und Zoon was headquartered in Zurich.)

Perhaps that's the same Van Houten who makes the ¥105 cartons of cocoa in Japan. Too bad, I wish you were secretly a rich Cocoa baron of the Far East.

I might be related to Leslie Van Houten (of Manson family infamy), but if so the relationship would be very distant (on the order of 8th or 9th cousin, probably.)
