Plane tickets...

Was just wondering for those of you that have traveled to Japan, where was the cheapest place you found your plane tickets. I'll be flying from TN and have found tickets around 1079.00 for Oct 16 and returning on the 23rd. The thing that gets me is 1079 for something 6 months in advance, but if I want to get on a plane next week to go, it's only running about 739. ARGHH. Any tips would be appreciated.

Is this the best vacation guide on the web of Osaka, or is there a better one somewhere?

We have a milage credit card and we put all our house and buisness expenses on it. So we usually get a free trip a year or so. Of course if you don't spend much money on credit cards, it would take a long time to build mileage for Japan. But thanks to that we have had several 'free' trips to Japan.

I would be interested to know how others fly and what is cheapest.

It varies with the season for ticket prices, my only advice is Google is your friend.

I got my tix from http://www.iace-usa.com/ . The tickets seem cheap compared to other places I checked out (e.g. travelocity, expedia, etc.) and if you leave the right time of the year (I'm guessing non-peak months), they can be had for about $500 round trip. I left from Dulles, so YMMV if leaving from another airport/region.

I guess they have not updated their database to reflect October fares...or i'm completely reading this wrong...

Yeah...the only thing about i-ace is that they only post prices for a couple months in the future. Maybe if you call you can get prices for Oct.

just an update..

I did call them yesterday afternoon, and they priced me at $945. Which was about 100 bucks cheaper than travelocity, orbitz etc.

Only thing is, I was trying to get the flight information from them (time it departed, return flight) and I'm not sure if it was my phone (cell phone) but I was having a hard time understand them, I told them I would have to call them back later and apologized.
