To go shopping
I know that the word for shopping is kaimono. How do I say to go shopping -
Would I say kaimono o suru
Watashi wa doyoubi ni kaimono o shimashita.
I went shopping on Saturday.
This is just a guess on my part so I was hoping that soone could confirm or fix my statement. Thanks.

RE: To go shopping
Also, if you plan on buying a certain thing, you can use the verb, "to buy".
来月、私はあたらしい車が買うつもりです。
買う(かう) To buy.
