Irasshate いらしゃて ????
今日 は。
"き を つけて、また どうぞ いらっしゃて ください。”
I think this is meant to mean "please take care, please come again".
The first part "ki o tsukete" = take care BUT,
the 2nd part is a bit more challenging (at least for me!).
I can understand the "mata douzo ... kudasai" = please again, BUT is it changing the irassharu (-ru) form to the (-te) form?
Could someone please help explain this phrase?

that's pretty much it.. irrasharu means to exist (very polite form mind you) please come again if you hear it at a store. please be here again could be a more literal term, but you have it correct as far as i can remember.

Shouldn't there also be another っ in there making it いらっしゃってください?

So what about "irashaimase" or something like that? Isn't that what happens when you leave stores or come in?

is it a greeting used in stores to basically say you are welcome here or please come again.. it literally means exist here.. as mase is the command form of masu. or as mentioned before, it is a request..
please exist here.. please be here, please come in.. please come again, please be here again.. etc.. it all means pretty much the same thing..
this is a case of, don't worry so much about the literal meaning in english, worry about the use in japanese..
