LOL @ Txkun.

I don't have a job, but i'm about to start looking for one. I'm homeschooled, so I have more time on my hands than most people my age.

EDIT: I have now officially made over 300 forum posts and 200 shoutbox posts. B)

nono I'm not confusing. They have another name here but in USA I was an
ATM addict. :D .
What I meant, using seems too much slang, was 'get-all-the-money-in-the-ATM-for-free'. B)

It's not that easy :). The network isn't going to allow cash to be coughed up for no reason.

Nice. What field are you in? I'm a classically-trained violinist/pianist, but I've been doing fusion and folk-inspired stuff lately.

I've thought of teaching ESL and exploring the Japanese music scene a bit, which I may do once I have a decent chunk of money saved up.

Cheers,

4th year college student, studying at a Japanese language school in *gasp* Japan.

I recently started doing the English teacher thing part time... I didn't want to become an English teacher because I saw it as something anyone who speaks English can do (i.e. any of the 298M Americans or 59M Brits... I'm not exactly special, am I?)

But, I get $30 and hour and since I speak Japanese I get all the new students and have a chance to practice my Japanese even more.

As soon as I graduate this fall I plan to find work here somewhere. Being that vague makes it sound like I'm going to end up really disappointed, but I've got a lot of really good connections so I'm not sweating it much.

Just stumbled upon this site a couple of days ago. Great site by the way. I am currently in Japan for 3 weeks visiting the in laws and thought it was time I learned how to read and write Japanese. I am almost finished with hiragana and plan to finish katakana by the end of next week. Well I guess I should stay on topic. I am a computer programmer who needed a three week vacation! Currently most of my work is with the .Net framework.

To Gormur (Forgive me for not doing all the quoting stuff)

I'm a classically trained saxophonist, though I'm trying to bring my jazz playing up to the same level. Yeah, sadly a bit different from violin and piano but...

I've been doing fusion and folk-inspired stuff lately.

Nice. I know someone who's really into that kind of stuff.

I've thought of teaching ESL and exploring the Japanese music scene a bit, which I may do once I have a decent chunk of money saved up.

That sounds like a plan. I hope you pull it off. I want to incorporate traditional Japanese scales into my improvising, since I don't think anyone's ever tried that before. Just have to see what happens;)
