I asked her how to spell Led Zeppelin in Japanese and in katakana its レドゼッペレン。 So I guess they would just pronounce the english words in katakana (if that makes any sense, I don't know)

Then again, there are a few ignorant kids in the States who think everybody in Japan has big eyes and pink hair, and have power levels of 1,000,000.

From what I understand, Japan is in a bit of a hip-hop trend right now, which I find absolutely hilarious. Japanese rap is terrible.
Aww! What about m-flo? And Shakkazombie? And Rip Slyme? OK, I'll grant you, most of Rip Slyme's songs are not so great. But there is good Japanese rap out there.
