I dislike hentai. I think it's stupid, disgusting, perverted, pointless, and is only made by men who are sick in the head and have no lives and no women. It's merely an animated depiction of the most perverse thoughts that go through some people's minds. Or maybe i've only seen the worst and the most explicit of the hentai, I dunno. This is a language site so I would like to point out that, obviously, 変態(hentai) is not simply an anime expression. It means "perveted" or "pervert", and that's exactly what these anime are.

"To each his own" I suppose, but I certainly don't see any appeal in erotic or "hentai" comics, and I certainly hope people aren't using them as a main method for learning Japanese or about Japanese culture.

I personally have never seen any type of porn, hentai included. But, if a person wants to watch hentai, I don't have a problem with that. Honestly, no one has a right to judge people based on their personal lives.

Plus, as others have said, it's not as degrading as real porn. And, I'm just guessing this, but hentai is probably better that real stuff because the artist can make the people look like anything without having to worry about finding the right actors/actresses and make the people do anything without having to worry about the actor/actresses feelings (although voice-actors maybe a bit scarce).

This is just my speculation. It's a free world, people have the right to do what makes them feel good lol
