I was once with a group of children, and I decided to play a little game: they were only to speak in 標準語(hyoujungo) "standard Japanese."

They tried, but it wasn't long before I heard two boys arguing, saying things like:
「せんでくれませんか。」 and 「いやだでございます。」 :D

That's not a movie. That's anime. You should know by now that Anime doesn't use normal speaking patterns :D

In REAL movies (i.e. with real people) they speak the way their characters are supposed to, just like in English (SURPRISE!).

In American movies, when someone is supposed to be from the south, they speak with a southern accent.

Just the same, in Japanese movies if someone is supposed to be from Osaka, they speak with an Osaka accent.

Most of the movies are set in Tokyo, so most of the movies use Tokyo dialect.
