Writing Numbers

I got a question in writing numbers in Nihongo. They use the usual numbers (1, 2, 3, etc...), right? There's no other form in writing the numbers?

Do you use windows? If you do, go to http://www.microsoft.com and download the Japanese 'global ime'.

Here are the numbers 1 - 9.
一 (ichi)
二 (ni)
三 (san)
四 (shi)
五 (go)
六 (roku)
七 (nana)
八 (hachi)
九 (kyuu)
Remember that most kanji's have several readings. I just wrote one of the readings.
[Edit]: By an unknown reason number 10 wont show. So it's only 1 - 9.

Click on Kanji from the site menu, click on 4kyuu...
The first 13 listed are the kanji for 1-10, 100, 1000, and 10000.

So no Kana is used in the numbering systems. Hmmm... I guess I really have to know kanji. Why am I prolonging it! Well, let the brain work. This is like my fourth language and it still bewilders me that I have to learn three set of alphabets in Nihongo.

If you want to learn Japanese, you'll have to learn kanji. I think Kanji is hard, but i am getting used to them.
