Do you think I'll ever find a vegan host family?

I'm a vegan and I'm going to japan soon for an exchange program at my school but if I go I'll have to give up my vegan beleifs and leave them here in AZ. I want to go but I also don't want to give up being vegan so does anyone know anywhere or think I have at least a chance of finding a vegan host family anywhere in Japan??? I know almost everything has animal products in it in japan but it's possible right???

why would you have to give up your beliefs?
they must not be strong if they change with location

No because it would be hard to bring my own food and stuff, plus it might seem rude.

Plus most japanese food contains animal products which means it'd be very hard to figure out what I could eat and can't.

i doubt there are many Japan-born Vegans, per se, but you may find someone that believes in a similar way you do and calls it something else.

in other words, what does your diet allow?

Nothing from any animal. Super strict! ^_^

i'm sure you can find Japanese food not made from an animal.
such as rice. (the most outright obvious one)

do you mean literally "from" any animal? or the meat "of" an animal?
because if you mean only the meat of one you could have eggs,

lol rice, no I mean anything no milk, eggs, meat, fish nothing. I know it sounds crazy to everyone I tell this too. They're all like "then what do you eat?" lol. I could live off of rice and a multi vitamin for 2 weeks without dieing and fruit and vegetables. lol ty I'll just have to let whoever I stay with know ^_^

you do realize that animal products were used to as fertilizer for all those vegan foods right? Those vitiman supplements are often collected from animals too. Especially calcium carbonate.

I can only do so much to help the planet but thanks your right I didn't think about that for other people hmm...
