Is Skype a good Japanese study method?
RE: Is Skype a good Japanese study method?
I just finished one conversation with a penpal of mine. It was kind of exhausting, a lot of long periods of silence. And when we didn't know the correct words, we ended up using text chat. It was nice, but kind of unproductive. So my advice would be to make sure you have a dictionary, and even write down a ton of conversation topics, to keep it going. ~_~;

I know what you're saying I once talked to this japanese guy online but I was trying to let him know I couldnt stay too long because my school would call with something important
.
This took me 10 tries, 15 minutes, awkward silences, awkward laugs because of the awkward silences and a pack of instant ramen
You get the point.

Good luck with studying everybody and I hope one day I will be able to pick it back up.
Until then, a nice goodbye from me to you
