yeah its macabre. its worth seeing, but i dint enjoy that film.

Battle Royal / Batoru rowaiaru

Real nice story and concept, the characters are believable, though as my sweet mother pointed out, the death scenes were not so well done. Like too much acting and not enough realism. Kind of violent

YES!! Battle Royal was awesome. BR2 was ok but that's expected of sequels I guess. I find Japanese horror so much more gruesome than that of North American, they know no limits where as North Americans tend to let up a little bit or produce abominations such as Kill Bill. Mind you Hostel was gross.

I really like this movie. Actually, it's three short films, and the first one, set in Tokyo, is by far the best. Its topic is cross-cultural love. I don't know what else to say. Just watch it.
