i am having difficulties with my avater

it will not upload. i have tried different ones thinking it was just the one i was using that was doing it and it was not. this is very frusterating. can anyone help?

it has to be either .gif or .png. or .jpeg, and smaller than 200x200 pixels

i checked to make sure and it is .jpeg. how do i check to see how big or small it is? i checked properties, but it just told me kb!

If it's over 200x200 pixels, then it sould be obvious to see that it's too big -_-' .. Well, when you check properties, then click the button next to 'General' at the top.

edit: okay i checked and its only 100x100 but its still not working. i think im going to have to wait to see if i can get it to upload on another computer. maybe mine is just messed up!! do you think that could be the problem?

I don't guess it's because your computer is messed up. Actually, I have no idea what could be wrong.. If you want to, you can send me a copy of the picture through email. Maybe i could figure out what's wrong.

You might have a fire wall or something else thats blocking you from uploading it onto the website. try turning something like that off first.

Im not sure if thats the case here but some places will not let upload of files that are capitals. Example:

cat.GIF --> This doesnt work
cat.gif --> works

I dont think thats the case here but its just a suggestion. i dont know why some sites are like that. But check just in case.

I would suggest uploading files as '.gif'. It works for me, i don't think there are any difference tho'.

Perhaps...you should try hosting it off of photobucket or something, i feel its kinda dumb hosting and avatar off of the website, especially when there are such numerous users and so many more avatars to host.
