School starts when?

For a long time I thought schools everywhere started at the same time, but now I know diffrently (of course):D. I just wanted to know when yours, for those of you in school, starts. My school starts back up in August 16th.

I'm moving in to my dorm room on Saturday August 26, I think my first class starts on the 28th. My first year at college... yes!

In France, high school starts on sept 4th; college starts later, in october.

In our area, I don't go back until September 6th. Senior year of Jr. High. Thank god.
Kind of sucks some of you guys have to start so early (or early for what I'm accutom to).

I'm not in school anymore, but this part of Florida some of the schools are year round. They have been adding two to three new schools to the year round every year.

september 11th for elem/high schools (no i'm not kidding) and october (when exactly can vary) for colleges/unis.

It's not early for us because we get out in May.

School ended (here) on June 8th, we go back on the 25 of august.

What i'm wondering is if all the schools have the same length of summer brake, here in Belgium it's 2 months , from 30th of june 'till the first of september ( but I think college has a longer summer brake)

Here, the school year for Elementary to High school is the last week of August to the first week of June, with breaks of about a week between Christmas and New Years, and the week of Easter. College classes vary by school, but the Fall semester usually starts in early September, and runs through the middle of December (Including exams), and the Spring semester starting in the middle of January thru early/mid May.
