I've never really liked modern American music. o.o; I mostly just listen to random Japanese songs, and classical music.

Only the Greatest:
Radiohead - OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, and Hail to the Thief
David Bowie - Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Space Oddity
Bach
Fiery Furncaces - Blueberry Boat, EP, Bitter Tea
Deerhoof - The Runners Four
Beck - One Foot in the Grave
On a sidenote, I've only ever heard 3 good Japanese bands (I don't consider Deerhoof Japanese): Love Psychadelico, The BOOM, and Mr. Children. Everything else is garbage. Dragonash had some potential at one point, but ended up just being Japanese Beastie Boys, along with Orange Range and Rip Slyme.

I'm all into alternative rock! For instance, Asian Kungfu Generation. They've got some awesome riffs. "Haruka Kanata" , "Mirai No Kakera", "Riraito"
There's two other bands I like. Switchfoot and Jars of Clay.
Have you seen switchfoot in concert?! They rule! I've picked up the guitar and have been playing for a year. I know 4 scales B)

Yes, but all of his die hard fans have a consiparacy theory that he isn't dead. For example, his nickname was Makavelli (after Machiavelli), and the real Niccolo Machiavelli often wrote about staging your own death for political purposes. They just can't come to grips with him being dead. He's the Elvis of this generation.

Well my favorite music is punk, ska, and jrock, but I'm not restricted to those genres. Basically, if something sounds good to me, I'll listen to it. Whether it be oldies or even classical

Outrageous! You call choir music a shame?? You'll burn in the Hell of music, forced to listen to the 'Macarena' song over and over for all Eternity!
*calms down*
I have lots of choir music, mostly Renaissance. I like all kinds of Early Music and most of Classical too. I also listen to progressive/symphonic rock (Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull), several kinds of hard rock / metal (Black Sabbath, Metallica, Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, After Forever...) and I don't disdain nu-metal or black metal.
Almost any kind of music will be good for me if it's good in its genre. But if you want to know the most uncommon kind of music that I like, then that's probably barbershop music. I love the way it rings, it's impressive. If you want to watch and listen to one of the best Barbershop quartets, then search for "OC Times" on Youtube.
