how to turn a text file into an image file?

Postby Pianogirl123 » Thu 05.19.2005 11:06 pm

Before you kick me of-- this topic is relevant to japanese stuff! I want to put japanese characters on my webpage but I want any to be able to view them even if their computer can't see japanese fonts (like it is on this site)

So could anyone tell me how to turn a text file (like a .doc) into an image file (like a .jpg)?

Use that fancy text box thing in, say, MS Paint, and paste it in. Or use Adobe Acrobat to turn it into a .pdf file which can then easily be changed into various image types(better idea if you have it).

I assume you are using windows. This program says it can
open many different formats and save to an image. It is a
30 day trial tho.

The other alternative is downloading openoffice from:

and seeing if it will save as an image. It may, it does save to alot of formats.
Hello? Internets?

Assuming you have the japanese characters on screen, just hit that little "Print Screen" key at the top right of your keyboard (c'mon folks, give it some love!). Then open up your favorite flavour of image-editing software (be it MSPaint, PSP or Photoshop) and simply paste your screenshot into a blank image. Trim it up and save, and you're done!

It's just...that....easy!
