RE: Going to college in Japan
Thanks for the site. ^_^ Two huge things I'm worried about, though.
1.) Studying for the JLPT test. My city sucks and there are no classes or teachers or anything, so I'm forced to teach myself. Is it possible to pass the test by teaching myself with the help of books, internet, and people on this site?
2.) Simple. Money. XDD

Yes.
What level are you going for, where are you now and which year are you going to take it?

Oh God, so many obstacles in the way. I just started studying February or March, and I haven't done so in a few months due to school. I think I need to pass...level 2 in order to go to a college in Japan? Not sure. As for when, hopefully my senior year, or before the year I'm a senior during the summer. I'm a sophomore now. But then my mom isn't thrilled with this, so the huge obstacle is getting her to let me go take it. -.-

If I've heard correctly, Level 2 is for the less prestigious colleges and Level 1 is used by universitys that will be more impressive on a resume. I didn't think Temple administered this test though. I don't remember reading about that on the webpage.

Well if that's true...I feel stupid. I still want to learn Japanese, though. XD I'll try contacting someone at Temple. Are you looking into Temple as well, Chiisu? I saw your topic, good luck to you. =)

Temple offers classes in English so you don't need any Japanese ability.

If you post and then delete your post then your name still shows up as the last poster but your post is no longer in the thread.

I've just been looking at all my options. Temple isn't exactly my first choice though.

I've only looked at four colleges, three being in America, just in case something happens and I can't go to Japan. I haven't looked at a lot of colleges in Japan. XD I'll probably do some more searching tonight.
