when i move to japan i want to become an animator. i have a degree in graphic design. i always wanted to move to japan. but i still need to fill out papers and i dont no if they would let me move there. i heard they are picky with who they let in b/c of the lack of space and poverty there.

I'll tell you now. Give up. Japanese already have plenty of animators and they don't want you. I'm not being harsh, I'm just telling you as I've heard it from the horse's mouth.

To get a job over there you have to show that you can do something better than a Japanese person, and drawing isn't one of your options. Your options are something highly technical, teaching English, or truck driver. Why truck driver? I dunno, I'm the wrong person to ask.

Poverty? I didn't think Japan was that bad....

Just wondering.... how'd you manage to get that kind of a degree at 16?

opps sry i dont have the degree thats what i want. i heard poverty was bad in japan. maybe not. ne one no a high demand job in japan?

There is certainly way more poverty in the u.s. than there is in Japan.

You do realize that all lower case is nearly as annoying as all caps?

This isn't a chat room. It's a good habit to use your normal writing skills and not fall back on your chat style writing. It makes you look more like someone to be taken seriously, instead of yet another teen who wants to go to Japan because anime is sooooo cool.

Actually, if you don't like anime, I think you have even a slimmer chance of getting an animation job there.

I think maybe the best way to get into animation in Japan will probably be to have a job at an American company that has a studio in Japan. Then, hope that they'll eventually send you to Japan to help with the Studio.

Well I like anime art just not watch the shows. I can watch it though if it has good animation because I appreciate the art veiw of it. Thats a little confusing, but whatever.

They actually have a special visa now for ninja in training.
