*Cringe* ... Yeah, that was pretty embarrassing. I don't even really like anime and I'm embarrassed...

there's always people who take a hobby a bit too far, it doesn't matter what the hobby is.

Lets take football for example, what about those guys that shave their body hair so they can stand side by side and spell the name of their team?

That's not what makes this funny (or if you're American embarassing). It's the fact that they traveled to the other side of the globe just to fulfill their otaku cravings.

I watched some bits of first movie...
Well, seems a fun tour, no?
I don't like guided tours so I think'll never do something like that but; hey, they are having fun, they aren't killing humans, animals or breaking any law.
So that's fine for me.
To all Otaku: have fun and be sure to experince all of japan culture (popular and traditional)! B)

To whom, actually. (sorry Grammar Police)

An acquaintance of mine went on one of these tours.

Before watching Densha Otoko (TV show), I had no idea there were so many people obsessed with anime. Sure I knew there were fans, but... (Didn't spend a lot of time in Akihabara while in Japan!)
