I saw both Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away. Meh, they were alright, I'm not a big fan of that kind of anime (I thought they both moved a bit slow). I was really only watching them to try to catch some of the Japanese (I watch basically anything I can find in Japanese

i love all types of anime, i just think he thinks differently then other anime creators and i think his stories are so in depth and they also have life lessens in them. i also think he is creative, the other two i have seen is kiki's delivery service and totoro. although i think those are more childish. I cant wait to see the others. How did you think they were slow?

I dunno. It just seemed like it took forever for anything to happen. Like, the stories could have been told in 1/2 hour instead of the 2 hours (I think 'Howl's' was two hours long, it definately could have been shorter).
I really don't watch too much anime though, so that could be why.

I saw most of his movies and Spirited Away is my favourite. I like the story and the meaning in it. I liked Castle in the Sky too, but I thought it was kinda sad that the island mostly fell apart.. heheheh.. such a shame
Totoro and Kiki were cute and I agree that they're a bit more childish. Still good movies though. I don't know about Howl.. I might have to watch it again. For some reason I remember the ending not making much sense to me.

i agree, the ending it confusing at first, i dont think she gets ride of the curse bc her hair stays the same but she is not old. i dont really know why that happened. But Howls MC is mostly a love story about just a stuck up guy who has to be perfect and a not so pretty girl and she gets turned old. so i agree that it really didnt have to be 2 hrs long but i like watching anime and i enjoyed it. Spirited was very good too but this one was more about life lessons. it had cool charactors in it and a nice cute lil love thing going on too.

I love them all!
I love all of Studio Ghibli's works. 2 other great movies are "Mimi o sumaseba" and "Neko no Danshaku". ^_^

ゲド戦記 just came out in Japan last month. It's the first ghibli movie in a long time that hasn't been directed by Miyazaki, but rather by his son (who's name I can't remember at current)
I haven't seen it yet, but it looks really good. =)

Well the first picture kinda reminds me of it.. but the one I saw was a lot older..
What happened was they robbed a casino or something and they were running from the police(in a car) when the police got into their cars they tried to catch them but the tires popped.. They got away and w/e but then they found out it was fake money and they threw it out the window becuase they thought they could find the person making the fake money and get more.

Oh, ゲド戦記! I want to see that too. I probably won't be able to understand it all, but that's ok.
I saw ハウルの動く城 a few months after I first came to Japan and my head hurt after. 2 hrs of non-stop, un-sub-titled Japanese was a bit much at the time.
