For the record, BabyGoth, there are English-language magazines and newspapers published in Japan, and they might be more likely to hire a native-English speaking graphic arts designer for their publication over a local -- assuming the native-English speaker also spoke Japanese, which would cover the fact that a local hire would already speak Japanese and should have to speak English for the publication.
