Post by Akutabai_Gamma » Mon 05.23.2005 7:36 pm

I was wondering if learning Chinese will in turn help me learn Japanese also?

Well, it depends I guess it would help because of the Kanji But it would take longer to learn Chinese then just learning Japanese + kanji

Hi.

Chinese is utterly different from Japanese.
It is true that Japanese language uses Chinese characters,
but its grammar and pronunciation are totally different.
And, to my regret, present Chinese characters are also
different from Japanese Chinese-characters!

It's difficult even for Japanese people to learn Chinese.

Better for you to choose either language to learn.

Bye.
