RE: Might move to japan
I've heard the radio play, read the books, and seen the movie and TV miniseries.

The movie was all right, but it, of course, didn't live up to my expectations.
And, for the record, it's not a sci-fi book - it's a way of life. It's an epic. It's right up there with 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 (rounding out my top 3 books of all time), but funny rather than disturbing.
I also find it fitting that another "I'm [thinking of] / [planning on] / [going to] move to Japan to [work] / [study] / [become a ninja licensed samurai anime artist]" was hijacked by a discussion about The H2G2, a book almost as absurd as these continuously appearing topics are.

I wouldn't call it a hijack, I would call it sever thread drift. No one ever came in and said something that didn't relate to a post above it.

That picture destroyed two things: The perfectly spaced width of the webpage on my powerbook 12" screen, and my small desire to have anything to do with Star Wars.

Nice pic. The guy with the beard is my favorite...I don't really know what you guys are talking about but it makes me happy. It's not every day I find people almost as geeky as I am
.
There are no dumb questions, therefore, they are all of equal stupidity.

Yeah, but kittens aren't cats. Kittens are kittens. All kawaii and fluffy and all.

Think of the poor, overworked bakemono, spending all their time chasing down kittens to kill, with never a moment off.
